2020 the Year of the Pandemic

I can honestly say that there was nothing I want to remember from 2020. I look back through the year and just remember many hurtles that i had toendure.  Disappointment at not seeing my only grandson for almost two years.  The fact that the kids are stationed in Germany and they can't come home.  My grandson is growing up without me.
I managed to start this year with a new 10-needle embroidery machine.  It has been an adventure for sure....

Mystery quilt

Never done one before, but I thought I would try. Still washing fabric and reading through all the issues people are having to make sure I have a fighting chance of getting it done right.

Quilt challenge

I would love to win a new Janome sewing machine.  I test drove this unit at my local quilt shop...I really loved it.  I couldn't justify buying it.  But it really had some neat features...loved the knee lift.  I can always hope to win one.  I own a Janome 9700 so I really can't complain.

Pi Shawl KAL

http://wendyknits.net/

following the Pi Shawl KAL...can't start my shawl until I get back home to Michigan. I ordered the kit and it is waiting for me when I get home but.....my grandson comes first!

I am still in New Mexico helping my daughter with the new grandson...the first grandchild and needless to say I am excited. And he is a doll...born at home on the 20th of July at 11:03 am weighing 8 pounds and 20 inches long.
heading home on the 24th but will be back in October for a few months...to babysit while my daughter goes back to work. Finding babysitting is hard...on a waiting list on the AFB daycare center...9th on the list..not good.

This year has definitely been a different year...out of work, husband with multiple health issues and seeming to be extremely busy.

Anxiously awaiting the first grandbaby!

I'm trying to get things ready at home to leave my husband for 6 weeks of bachelorhood. He doesn't really cook or do laundry but will be force to this time. He is being a real trooper! Of course this is for HENRY so he will do what he must.

I'm am getting anxious and want to be there before my grandson makes his appearance. I hope to be the cook, housekeeper and maid while my two wonderful children enjoy there new bundle of love.

Because the due date is always really a guess, I am heading down early. I figure I can always change the return flight to handle what comes after the little bundle arrives.

This is going to be a new chapter in all of our lives....and I can't wait to be a GRANDMA!!!!!
