New computer
I'm fumbling through the process of transferring info from an old laptop to my brand NEW laptop. This is a first for me, I have always had "hand me down" computers...this is my first new one. It is really exciting...still have software to load...but am just transferring files right now.

It is another cool rainy day...can't wait for Spring to really get here...not just the date on the calendar. I did a little spinning this morning. I have quit a bit of fiber to spin. Once I finish this 8 ounces of merino...I hope to make a shawl with it. Can't wait to get it all spun up.
I have been planning several quilting projects and just finished complete a needlework project that my daughter had started when she was very young and doing a demonstrations at one of the historic houses at Greenfield Village in Michigan. She is now 27 years old and I finished it so it can go up on Dad's library wall...it is cute...even with all the mistakes.
Sun, please shine soon...I need some motivation!

Another wintery day
I've been sick for a few weeks, just getting to feeling better. Just finished knitting two baby bibs for a friend of my daughters new baby. I mailed them out to New Mexico today. It at least made me feel I had accomplished something.
I have been looking through my quilt books and magazines for some inspiration to start a new project. I'm not sure if it wants to be something small that I hand patch and quilt or another large quilt that I machine patch and hand quilt....
I have been working on several needlework projects too. Being sick allowed me to just sit, read my Kindle or work on a hand project. It was great! I didn't feel guilty about not getting any house work done.
Work has been slow, I work in the construction/building business. The economy in Michigan is terrible...I sure hope that it turns around soon. It is going to be a very slow year for building.
